Northerners, come in here and laugh at me.

Last night I was driving home and this stuff kept hitting my windshield and for the first 10 seconds or so, I was thinking "wtf is this ****"? I thought maybe there was a fire and it was ash. But it was actually snowing just a little bit.
In my defense, I'm positive that within the past 4 days, it has been 70 degrees at least once. So I wasn't exactly expecting snow anytime soon; it's not very common here. & it didn't feel that cold!
so please point and laugh or tell me your own stories of temporary tardation?

I was just re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird (having caught that movie about Truman Capote on cable recently), and there is that ‘snowstorm’ in it. Scout looked out the window in the morning and started screaming that the world was ending.

we got our last snowfall a month ago and it's only melted on one side of the street (not my side, either). so anyway my roommate and i were out front to move her car so i could get to work and i said, "wtf, why's their snow gone and not ours??" to which she responded, "the sun hits their yard instead of ours." "oh." *blush*

it's been so unbelievably cold lately, especially at night. for example, the temperature will be only 7 degrees farenheight come sundown. windchill is likely well below zero. two and a half more months of this! whee.
