I always neg the racist people. I'm not OVERLY pc I don't think, but sometimes people do cross the line, you know?
Racism is on the same level as sexism, & as rape; One person feels they are more worthy/important/powerful than another. It's gross and it's dangerous & I don't like to associate myself with it.

p.s. It's 2007, we've "come a long way". We're all generally in the same age group here, I think we should set a better example.

this one time i was in a movie theater waiting for 'HOSTEL' to start and it was a tuesday, which is the CHEAPer day. and of course all the visible minorities were there. Like if it wasn't enough being surrounded by all these immigrants, so they started getting racist with eacher other, saying the N word and I just sat there and watched their bestial racist ways. they started spilling drinks and throwing them, and it resulted in this huge fight, so finally the movie was cancelled and we all had to get out,

Good question. I definitely take note of who drops the N bomb often enough and for whatever reason I usually never liked them much to begin with.
But lets say specifically.... KillTheLastRomantic... I actually like her... and that quote shocked me. I don't know how I'll interact with her on here further from now.

It's really hard to say on a message board. I moreso notice how the change in how I feel about someone I've actually met. I recently found out that one of my better friends is really good friend with a trashy racist, and often defends how he's such a "good guy". I used to respect him quite a bit because he's an actor & incredibly funny, but now I'm like... how can you even associate and STICK UP for that kind of person? The respect is gone.

Is it kind of half-assed to only really take stronger offense when it's IRL?

I remember seeing my first homeless, smelly, begging, drunk aborigine in Melbourne. On whatever is the northern street of the City Loop tram. I had the appropriate "white guilt"/"totally shocked" response, and gave him the two bucks I had. My parents told me he'd have just gone to spend it on alcohol, but he said he wanted it for food...

I had a lovely chat with an aboriginal guy last time I was there. Told me he was going to Guns n Roses that night and asked me if I was too. Usually I wouldn't even stop out of fear of being mugged but I was on my way to meet Recalcitrant at her work and was in a top mood. He actually offered me goon too which was nice of him, I didn't drink it though cause the cup was kinda.. nasty.

When you are coming out of the main train station (Spencer?) there's loads of beggars though (not all black tsk) I sometimes carry 50 cents so I can just hand it to them and keep walking without being bashed up.

Can be quite shocking though when you go deeper into the desert and you see loads and loads of black men laying in the gutter outside the alcohol shop. Mum wouldn't let me outside the hotel in Lightening Ridge.

Its even better when they follow you home yelling out derogatory things, then spit on you, and then spraypaint 'cunt' on your house.
