| | face book Do you have a face book?
Ive had a face book for about 2-3 months and its ok to keep incontact with friends and family. The only downer of the site is the amount of old school people trying to add each other and be 'friends.' Somtimes it feels like face book is just for popularity and it seems to be fake to me.
Do you add people from your past? Is face book ruining your fate ? without face book you may have not met up with this person again. If you have was it a good thing or did you soon realise why you left this person in your past? |

| | Its got me in contact with alot of people who I havent seen in years which is great. But the constant adding me by people who I may or may not have spoke to once at school is a bit annoying. They probably wouldn't speak to me in real life so why bother adding me online?
I found it funny when this extremely socially retarded girl from school with maybe a couple of friends then added me and I saw she had our whole school year added to her friends list. What surprised me more was that she was topless in most of her pictures. |

| There is this woman I went to school with and ok we were ok friends then but the other day I was walking down my road - she lives 6 doors down - and she ignored me, yet she tried to add me on face book. Its really stupid because if she really wanted to know she could have knocked on my door. |

| | I must say that I like Facebook hella better than MySpace.
It is stalking-conducive, but so are all the social networking sites. I like playing scrabble w/ my pals on it And it does help me keep in touch with a lot of people.
However, there are some random people that I took *a* class with that are my "friends." Silly. So now I just add the people I want to talk to. |

| | | I hate it, and refuse to have one. It's so fucking childish with its 'slaps' and virtual drinks and whatnot... I know a lot of people who have deleted their accounts because they all feel the same. I guess it's fun if you're about 10 years old, but I think it's a hyped-up piece of shit. |

| | | it's way shittier than myspace.
people spend all day on their facebooks trying to add as many apps as they can. |

i hate all the pictures though, everyone at every party seems to have a digital camera and the next day you're tagged in a million hideous drunk photos.
i think the reason people from school/the past add you but dont speak is probably just because you have to add someone to see their profile and be nosey. |

| | | I like it alright. I don't like all the stupid applications, or knowing how many more months til some chick I sat next to in tenth grade Spanish class has her ugly baby. I DO like kicking my junior high school boyfriend's ass in Scrabble. |

However, it seems to be an integral part of any functional social life at uni, hence I sort of have to have one. |

| | | Oh, I also just thought: facebook is quite nice for reserved or cool types like myself for when you want to say hi to your uni friends during holidays, but in a casual way, & not look like you're making too much of an effort to do so or missing them too much. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
