If they asked you, and KNOW you don't like being there in the country, then I don't see what the problem is.

I had a friend was all the time painting boats. He wouldn't wear a gas mask either. He'd all the time come back covered with gasoline and paint. I told him again and again not to breath that ****. One day he started ****ing blood. The hospital said he had kidney stones. I think it was from that paint. His kidneys were probably all full of blood clots from the solvents in the paint. That's what kidneys do. They filter your blood. Of course that means they filter out blood clots. I don't know for sure but it would stand to reason. It even says on the paint cans that it causes blood clots and kidney damage as well as nerve damage. I can't even begin to tell you what sort of minging he was.

That is pretty bad.

Very rude, but a sensible decision on their part.
Don't worry about it, your family would probably prefer to see them anyway, so it's win-win-win.
