| | | Great/Disturbing/Beautiful Dreams Does everyone have dreams that for some reason stay with them the next day? Why are they so striking to you? And do you enjoy remembering them?
Once I had this dream that I was married to Christian Bale, but he was filming American Psycho 2 and because he's a method actor, he was murderous. I didn't really know much about him at the time I had this dream so I have no idea why I had it... In the dream I spent the whole time running and hiding from him. I hid in my mum's house and told her he was trying to kill me, and she could only say "no, he's such a lovely man..." He ended up stabbing me, and I woke in hospital only to find him messing with my machines, trying to kill me in a more medical way. Horrible! And I just coudn't shake this dream the next day...
On Saturday night I dreamed that I moved in with Stephen Fry and brought my boyfriend with me. But Matthew's presence didn't stop me from attempting to seduce Fry at every opportunity. My technique was pretty awful too - at one point I just pinned him down and forced him to tell me that he found SOME women attractive. I actually woke from that one feeling really joyful. But disturbed.
What interesting dreams have you had? How do they make you feel? PS: Off topic, but I'm in a computer lab and every time I'm here this same tourettes guy is here and he just grunts and stuff really loudly. I needed to share.

| | I remember when I was 11 or 12, I did dream I was in a room where everything was made out of gold and emerald. Everything - the bed, the table, the floor, the roof... it was probably inspired by the perfume I wanted at that time
but it was awesome. |

that dream made me happy all the next day. | Haha, that's great. I had the same sort of dream years ago about Seth Green. We rode horses together. Which is weird because in real life I'm sort of scared of horses.

| | | oh god all the bloody time.
the last one i remember i was sat on a train and we were going along train tracks and next to the tracks there were dark forests, mysterious and scary looking, and through the trees there was a beautiful horse galloping along at the same speed as the train, in the dream this felt like it went on for hours and hours and hours, and i just watched the horse, and in the dream it felt weird watching the horse. and then i woke up. and it felt weird and horrible thinking about it for days afterwards

I wish I was good at dream analysis.
When you felt weird thinking about it, was it the same kind of weird feeling you felt in the dream?

When you felt weird thinking about it, was it the same kind of weird feeling you felt in the dream? | haha yeah!! my dreams are always very intense though especially with feelings, one feeling i get often inparticular (in dreams) is despair and feeling "lost", its probably related to the amount of time i spend awake feeling like that though?
other than that the way to explain the feeling in the horse dream is like in films where they have a certain "feel" you know, that sort of weird. like blue velvet, that film makes me feel "weird" in the same sort of way. the way a film makes you feel weird afterwards, it is probably the same sort of thing

| | | I quite often have "sexy" dreams about people that, were I awake, I'd have sworn I didn't fancy at all. I often wake up and lie thinking "what teh fuck?!!!!one!!!". So I'm going to nominate them as "disturbing".

I think I sort of know what you mean. I couldn't handle a dream that made me feel all Blue Velvet-y at least. Quote:

So I'm going to nominate them as "disturbing". | They ARE disturbing. But usually after those I find that I become attracted to that person. Maybe I see what I saw in them in the dream, or in the dream they said something really cool or funny that turned them attractive to me.
The exception here is one time I had a dream where I had sex with a cousin. I woke up SO upset, and it freaked me out for a long time. I thought it meant I must be attracted to him, even though I knew I wasn't and it was just a bizarre dream. Ugh. I felt disgusting and terribly guilty for weeks after having that dream.
Sex dreams for me are always awful. I never have sex in my dreams. Usually I'm with my boyfriend and he'll start "doing things" to me, and just before I get to a decent point or we actually start having sex, he gets up and leaves. And I get angry. Usually I wake from them feeling incredibly frustrated.

| | | I don't even know what the hell is wrong with my head when I dream
a few nights ago I had a dream about a guy trying to teach kids how to be streetwise but all it involved was showing them a car filled with pasta (????) and asking kids what various words for moonwalking were (one kid piping up with, "in skateboarding it would be called a grind") then it ended and some small doll figures forced there way into heaven by throwing pennies at polystyrene walls and bursting through them. only instead of them getting there, they just got to progressively larger versions of heaven, the pennies getting less and less effective as they went.

I wish I had dreams like that.
