The day is absolutely beautiful and it suddenly hit me that we're almost in the middle of May. Time for summer.

What are you up to this summer? Are you traveling? Planning to quit your job? Moving into a new place? Spending it in front of the tv?


This isn't only directed to people who go to school and have this block of time called 'the summer' where they get to sleep and not worry about school at all.

The family is going on holiday (Canada) i'm staying here,i can't work anything in the kitchen :\
I'll end up starving to death.

Right after I posted I forgot that half of the world wasn't having a summer.

Winter is better anyway. At least weather wise. I'm usually busy in the winter.

i'm going to leeds festival, getting a job, and generally just lazing about as much as i can watching jeremy kyle. we're gonna go to the beach and have beach parties and go to woods and stuff. it should be fun. =]

That is why the microwave was invented. I'd give you a demo...show you how to operate a stove, a toaster, a can opener, etc...but my culinary skills are seriously lacking. That's what I am looking forward to in the summer real food at the parents' house.

That's my main goal this summer: getting a job. I've never really had a summer job. I'm always busy in the summer...but just never with like a job. The last thing I want to do is mope around the house for two months.

I just know my friends will want to go to the beach. But like, I don't like it. The beach takes too much effort. The freeways and the sand and the salty water. Bonfires on the beach are awesome, tho. Especially when I'm somehow in charge of making the fire and totally mess up the quick burning log. Omg haha, sometimes I am so incompetent.

not really, summer is just good because it is summer. All my friends bar one have their birthdays in either june or july (me included) so lots of nights out, I get more hours at work because everyone takes their hols so I get more cash and all is just well.

If I go on holiday it will be in september/octoper so somewhere slightly warmer.

I really really really hate the sun.
It makes me depressed.

It's such a treat to go somewhere not as cold in the Fall. I was in Spain last December and it was chilly, but not cold. I didn't have to wear a coat. Shock. Less crowded then, too.

How can it possibly depress you in Scotland? After months of darkness, seeing the sun is heavenly. I do get a little freaked out that the sun doesn't set until almost 10pm. I get fooled into thinking the days are actually longer.

i'm gonna finish my degree, get a new flat, hopefully get a job and just hang around bristol i guess. no other plans as yet.

I'm currently liking my plan of listening to Goldfrapp, avoiding revision and just lazing. In reality I am:

performing in an opera
going to Leeds Fest
getting and then redecorating a house
creating a garden for said house
getting a job
avoiding my parents as much as possible while being back at home
drinking MUCHOS beer
flirting with a pretty man

I plan on moving by the end of August and finding a job. I'm dying to put my college education to use. I just need someone to hire me! Other than that, maybe go to a few concerts, amusement parks, the like.

I am moving into a new place with my boyfriend.
Not too sure about the rest, I really want to spend a couple of weeks in Iceland but he says is tired of spending our summer holidays in cold countries and wants to go to a warmer place.

i have no plans for the summer
just work and a bunch of weddings that i don't even want to go to.

nothing I'll end up having one of those boring partying summers again. I wish I could travel, but I have to work.
oh and I'm going to the warped tour. and well I'll go visit my best friend in Toronto and the summer will basicaly be Mtl-here because my parents are there so I'll be there over the weekends.
I have a job interview tomorrow to be at the reception of a funeral salon. how fucking depressing is that. but oh well I hope I get it I need a job, and that will help me face my terrible fear of death.
The most bright part of my summer is my psychology class. it's sad to say, but I actually enjoy going to that class the most right now. I'm very indifferent to everything else.

can somebody please explain to me why anybody would paint a kitchen cobalt blue?

for the same reason that someone would paint their whole house deep purple...

some people are insane. the master bedroom in the new house is violet, coordinating with a stripey border and dark purple carpet.

Other than the kitchen and master bedroom it's all subtle and neutral and gorgeous.

I need to remodel the bathroom and paint those 2 rooms then I'm done. can't wait.

I will be attending several concerts this summer. Instead of taking a vaction, I am gonna stay home and go to a bunch of shows. I am so fucking thrilled. I will see Pearl Jam at least 2 times, maybe 3. Then Sonic Youth, and a grip more.It will be a good concert goin' summer.
