| | | Do you still own cassette tapes? Do you still own cassettes? I have a box of them that I'm holding on to just in case they become collector's items.
Remember the walkman? |

| | | Hell yeah, I have a couple of hundred. I won't get around to replacing them all, so I'll hang on, and play them until they die. I haven't bought a cassette new since about 1997, mind. But you can find cool stuff for a buck, like long lost Thompson Twins albums. Which you need.

| | | Despite some pretty happy lyrics (occasionally) it's some the most depressing dance music of the 90's.
I just liked that whole low-budget, amateur dance phase. It was good in the context of the 90's.

| | | That explains why I loved The Cranberries so much.
The only thing about 80's pop culture I truly loved was dream pop/rock.

| | | Sadly the only cassettes you can get now in NZ are parallel import Indonesian ones. My mate whose car only has a cassette player went on a big cassette buying rampage recently. Dear God it took me back.

| | | I bought Siamese Dream just lately because of my vinyl/cassette thing I've started (because I'm frugal) and it freaked people out for some reason. I got anecdotes about their cassette memories.
