Who to be friend with in jail? the janitor who's worked there for 30 years. and Morgan Freeman
Who to avoid? big guys and nigs
Who to give cigarettes too and who not to give to. keep them for myself/give them to someone who can get something for me when i need something

My brother once spent a few hours in an NYC jail cell (driving with an expired license, the arresting cop actually apologized and said they were training the rookies and the bosses were all there, otherwise he would have just warned him). He was kind of tough for where we come from, but he was old enough at that point to realize that means shit in an NYC lockup. Our last name is fairly strange, and he said he could hear people yelling it all over the stationhouse or whatever 'Which one is x?'

and the pigs were telling/yelling about what i was wearing to intentionally instigate inmate animosity? towards me and try to put me in more potential danger let alone some makeup which would get me enough shit in genpop
but the nurse made it so i didnt have to go i was waiting for bail to post anyway

Nice prison story from an accountant sentence to three years...
The little accountant had got three years for some heavy embezzlement, and went into prison with horror stories of prisoner assault. He was sure he was going to be reamed out.
