I am quite confused as to where the law stands on swearing. it it illegal to swear in public? is it illegal to swear at anyone or only policeman? whats the deal? I don't get it.

I have become aware that it might be from the way the gang of ticketmen that picked on me the other day reacted when I swore at one of them and watching binge drinkers in britain or some similarly titled programme.

you can also use this thread to entertain me as I am bored at work and got most of the sutff I needed to get done finished in an hour.

Swearing at a police officer is all you gotta worry about..

I don't think they should be allowed to arrest you for swearing at them. and I want to know what swearwords this encompasses too.
Like, would I get arrested if I said to one "you are a bloody sod you are".

what about swearing at jesus?

its not illegal, but its an offense. if you swear at the police, they will fine you. it crosses mistreating of an officer or something.
