this is acceptable now though. the random house unabridged dictionary actually lists one of the definitions of aggravate as "to annoy, to irritate". but as far as the original intentions of the words, i agree, though there are worse (like those people who think "should've" and "would've" are "should of" and "would of" ).

The here and hear thing is really common--or at least it is at my school, where people mess that kind of stuff up in their papers all the time. Two, too, and to is another common one. There, they're, and their as well. And there is were and where, which I don't know if it's a typo thing or if people are just honestly confused and put whichever one they feel like typing into their paper.
