This is not to suggest that every American is dumb BUT:

Why is it that Americans can be so ****ing ignorant about the outside world? I've never been more amazed at the pure stupidity that comes out of peoples
mouth. In most other countries people are educated, know what's going on. Also, I remember when I first got here, I was shocked how people dress, how they wear their hair etc. (I'm talking about the blue collar Americans here) It was like I stepped in a time warp. And the houses omg. I can honestly say that I find blue collar America to be hell.

And, of course, I don't mean every single one. I wrote this because I'm truly baffled.

where are you from exactly? i mean you have revealed you are blue collar. did you just step out of some trailer park in a John Waters movie.

though i must admit most Americans are self absorbed. i can't speak for the rest of the world. but judging by KR, it is not only applicable in the US.

I'm originally from Eastern Europe, but I've lived in Germany for a while, then came here. I remember having such culture shock and people asked me the dumbest questions imaginable ("Is it, like, always cold in Germany or hot??") I've lived in blue collar neighborhoods in MA and omg, no. Now I love in a fairly blue collar city with lots of yuppies, artists moving in.

I swear, it's like they revel in their ignorance. i can only imagine places like Texas.
