My job situation is looking pretty good all of the sudden. I just got a promotion and a raise at my restaurant job, and I have been working at a new day job for a week now as a cabinet maker's apprentice. I built three cabinet boxes all by myself in the past week, I am proud of myself. He is going to teach me everything from the CAD software to the saws to the installation process- some people pay good money to learn this stuff and I am getting paid to do it.
The only downside is that I am busy all the time. I worked til noon at the cabinet shop, now I have to wait til 1:30 for my friend to get off work so we can go do our housekeeping gig this afternoon, then I have to be at my restaurant job from 5-10. So it's a long day and I am already tired.
Everything else is coming together, I am in my apartment, the utilities are all on, I have just about everything I need (except the time to sew up some curtains!). I went out to dinner with Mr. F last night and he invited me to spend the night at the farm with him Friday. Not sure if I will because it's a 40 mile drive and I won't get there til probably 11 at night (have to close the restaurant) and then I have to be at work at 2 the next day, but I will see how I feel then.
Anyway, I am mostly just very happy to be back on the internet, I was without it for a week waiting on phone service to be hooked up here. If only I could get my shower to produce something beyond lukewarm water, I would be all set right now!
Oh, and *I* should get the free sub because I was cheated out of an entire year of a paid sub when we were hacked and now I am too poor to buy another one.
