Hey guys... I'm Kevin. I'm the guy who owns the company that's hosting this site. I'm responsible for the servers, the routers, and everything else that keeps this place going.

I'll let Brooke or someone else go into more details about the why aspect of it, but I'm making a quick post here to let you know that we're going to place some non-obtrusive ads on the site to try to pay for the expenses of running the site.

In order to calm everyone's fears, there will be:

• No popups
• No annoying flashing, noisy or obnoxious ads
• No information collected about you
• No ads that get in the way of seeing the site, or forcing you to look at something

This is purely to pay for the rather large costs of keeping the site going, the majority of which have been covered by my company and Brooke personally until now. Our goal is only to break even on the expenses. If the ad revenue goes substantially above the costs, we'll tone down the ads.


Also coming soon will be some upgrades to the software that runs the forum, to make things run faster, add new features, and make things more fun for everyone.

While I've got absolutely nothing to do with the policies or decision making around here, I'll try to answer any questions you guys have that relates to this.

Can I hope for skins?!

Sorry, the screwing up of the pages wasn't intentional. It should be fixed now.

If you are going to get funds from advertising, then this site should be free for users, with no paid subscriptions for "membership" status.
