let me tell you, the photo developing business is in the fucking drain. everything is automated and gross. obviously i havent tried to get photos printed in some time huh?
im really shocked. one place i went to advertised one hour photo and asked me to come back 3 hours later and when i came back they tried to get me to pay for the one hour service but on top of that the photos came out like SHIT and where all either over or underexposed. anothe place i went to the machine couldnt read my cdr and the pimple faced fuckhead behind the counter was of no help of course.
its really the end of an era. oh film where art thou
so in short, id just like to say FUCK YOU walgreens, FUCK YOU kodak, FUCK U eckards, AND FUCK YOU FUCKING ONE HOUR PHOTO PLACES THAT RUN OUT OF 5X7S YOU FUCKING LOSERS! |

| | | The Walgreens in my area does a fantastic job.
Wal-Mart, Target, and all those places are pretty consistently annoying though. |

It's getting increasingly difficult to get pictures of any notable quality fast here too. I think the boyfriend and I are going to have to start using a send-off service when we move away from here. |

| | | did you get the white border around the photos?
i always get there early. then there's usually lots of eye-rolling later on.
i would ALSO like to take this opportunity to BITCH about THE POSTAL SERVICE.
three days my fucking ass. because of them, genius GLORIOUS ten-year-old cassettes are forever lost. or thrown out or something.
what a fkn nightmare. especially since it's usually so ANXIOUS waiting for photos to be developed. |

It actually usually costs less than the one-hour photo option, but the stuff we've gotten back is usually better.
We never get glossy prints of anything though, because I get fingerprints all over those and make them look icky anyway. |

i hand made a book and need these photos done no laer that tues. my comp prints are shit and non glossy | The Bonusprint send off service is good, the pictures I've got back from them are WAY better quality than places like Boots. But they take two weeks, so that's not an option for you really. Try Jessops, at least they're a photography store and employ people who know about cameras and photos.
I refuse to every get photos from boots because the image quality was appalling, they looked like a cheap print out on a ten year old computer printer.
But I just realised I didn't look to see if you're in the UK, so sorry if none of that helps at all! |
