It takes alot to provide support to someone who doesn't have much to look forward to. My friend has been in for 5 years and has 10 more to go, and at time it's hard because he gets real down. but then again so have I.
He was arrested for a Gang related crime. Just got mixed in with the wrong crowd etc at a young age. It's really a learning experience to talk to someone from such a different walk of life than from which I came from. He ran with the crips. I've from a middle class white family.

But that still is scary. I think now, they have it set up where they just give the letter, and not the enevlope to the inmates.
