i'm going to cannes for a few days. it's a business trip, and it will be winter. so the beach is out.

i have just one day that is free, and it has been suggested that i get a car and drive myself to st. tropez. does anyone have any feedback about this? i don't imagine st. tropez is my scene. even if i had a lot of money, which i don't. is it worth the effort to get a car and drive?

museums and "just walking around" are not fun activities for me.

i am not a fan of smoking. but, it just seems like the thing to do if you are an american in france. take on a lover, paint, go to museums, get involved in some kind of murder mystery, smoke, sit at cafes. maybe i watch too much A&E.
