My flight to Amsterdam MAY be cancelled tomorrow.. I've been worrying about it for a week now and the ash from the Chilean volcanic eruption had disappeared but is back today.
Not sure what you do when your flight is cancelled and you live 4 hours from the airport? A friend has offer to let me stay over and she is near the airport so it should be OK.

After reading my insurance policy I still can't tell if they cover volcano ash. I am meeting up with and staying with two Dutch people from KR. Violently on Friday night and Suusjes, though she doesn't post here anymore, on Saturday night. Mostly I just want to express my excitement about the third reich tour I booked for me and yet another ex KR member (anyone remember lipstickboy?) I am meeting up with her in Berlin, she is coming from Finland to meet me. I booked a 4 hour walking tour, we are all staying in Mitte.

Gotta watch Der Untergang on the way over, trying to find a download with hard english subs. I also have to say how awesome the android tablet I bought is, and will be on the plane. So I am going to the Netherlands, Germany, Czech, Slovenia and Slovakia. Got a 3 day black metal festival being held in an old horse stable in a forest in Germany after going to Bamberg. I am going to drink so much ****ing German beer.

I was hoping to meet gelflinggirl the day I arrive in Amsterdam but that day may be a day later than I thought due to this ****ing ash ****.

I've wanted to meet Violently for years, but it never eventuated as I had no money when I lived in NL. Ohhh and I will meet her cute bb.

Hope you make it- last Christmas when it snowed we had our flights to Zimbabwe cancelled and Heathrow and the surrounding areas turned into this horrible mess of homeless travellers. Luckily I only live an hour away but I don't know what to recommend if you are 4 hours away.

I ****ing love Slovenia so much its obscene- what do you have planned for there? Slovakia (the bit of it I saw, Bratislava) was also pretty awesome.

On a random side note, apparently they don't have Cerazette in Australia, to refer to a completely other thread, so if you want some, it might be worth picking up in Europe.

Yeah I hate waiting for my flight when it is on time, let alone waiting overnight when it is delayed, when you've been looking forward to this date for 6 months. In Slovakia I will mainly go to see the ruins of Bathory's castle again in Cachtice. Something calls me back there. Spent the night there once that was scary. Slovenia we really have NO idea but I want to see some Devil Doll (band) related things like the church they recorded some of the music in and the concert hall they played in, outside which the singer went insane and smashed all his records lol. We will still have the car there so really, the 2nd half of our trip is unplanned. We are staying in a few nice places in the Czech republic.

I hope it will be warm, I didn't want to bring jackets etc. Travel gives me such bad anxiety I had to stay home from work today cause of stomach pains! I might just take a valium and play video games all day.

What did you do in Zimbabwe? I'd be too scared to go there.
