Hey Londoners! Or London frequenters! Oyster Card question

When I was in London about 4 years ago, I recall getting an Oyster Card for a full-week's travel within the central zones. In other words, as long as I traveled within the central zones, I didn't have to worry about "topping off" my card... it was good for the whole week.

I'm doing some research for my parents' upcoming trip. I don't see the full-week option anymore. Did they get rid of it?

Or do they still have it, and I just can't find the info online?

Any help? Thanks.

There's this but it's not an Oyster card, it's just a travel card that's good for the week and costs £27.60 for Zones 1 and 2 (which is prolly all you'll want?)

I thought you only put cash on an Oyster card and it deducts the relevant fares per use up to a daily max? If you're sticking to Zones 1 and 2, and assuming you'll be taking at least 2 journeys per day within those, better value to get a travel card I would think.

I could be wrong though, I'm not local and it's been a while since I've been in London.

You can put a week on your oyster card still. I do it.

Does that cost the same as the travelcard? I guess it would?
