Getting a US Visa with a criminal record???? - Page 2

Well, sometimes in my job I have to sort out papers for people ot get working visas for the US and one of their demands is a recent copy of the criminal record.

As for tourism, I remember they once asked me.Contact the consulate, they are pretty clear about the rules, so that's what you should do.

Yes I understand they want a copy of your police certificate- are you saying you dont think they will let you in with a small possession charge (7 years old by the way)? I was thinking they only denied those with serious crimes (rape, murder, drug traffiking)

I really don't know. They will want to know, but they also have their own rules which I am not familiar with, kr won't help you, you gotta ask them!

I am going to ask them- the person I am checking for is awaiting his police certificate now before setting up visa interview appointment. The only reason I am checking here is in case someone here has experience with the whole process so we know what to expect once at embassy and to see if its best to get an attorney.
