I'm applying to transfer to a couple of schools there, one in St. Petersburg and one in Winter Park. Does anyone live there and what do you think of it? I've heard some ****ed up things but that might have to do with the town rather than the state as a whole.

i lived in st. pete for 4 years. i wouldn't even go back to visit.
(well besides going to the salvador dalí museum again, that is.)

I lived in Clearwater Beach about 10 years ago and i loved it! I only went to St Pete's once but it seemed like a nice town... of course it may have changed since then. I love Tampa though! I think the gulf coast of Florida is a great place to live (apart from the hurricanes)
