| the last thing that I saw was hasta siempre and with or without fidel at riverside studios the thursday before last, and I can't remember what the last film that I saw at the cinema before that was, but it might have even been ingmar bergman's smiles of a summer night at what used to be the national film theatre (bfi southbank). if I had the money, then there are so many films that I would like to see - they showed three sisters with maiden hearts and the whole family works by mikio naruse yesterday for only £6.25, for example, and they're showing repast and mother on my birthday on tuesday.
I'm not really in the right frame of mind for recommending anything, but there's going to be an interesting czech double-bill on august 1 at riverside studios, and they'll be showing a nice little cuban film called lucía on august the 6th, as well. tuesdays are "films for a fiver" at bfi southbank. |
