going there for two days with my best friend. I've seen most of the touristy stuff and tbh he's my best friend because we both don't give a shit about that. he's rather sad in that he's spent the last 4 years basically worishipping pete doherty as a god so sort of indie-ish ideas would be good. I'd like to go to something like a show, then a pub then a club without spending a bomb.
what are decent pubs, that don't blare loud music all the time and aren't 5 pound a pint?
what areas would you recomend, we might aswell give convent gardens a miss as we're both pretty poor but any cool thrifty, interesting shops would also be good.
basically I'd just like a kind of memorable experience from the two days, so if you live there what would you do on your last night for example?

re; the old blue last, they have a lot of good nights there but it is one of the most horrible places to be inside EVER.

is the old blue last a club or a pub? and does everywhere shut at 3am? In glasgow most places do but for some reason I kinda imagine london pushes the boat out a bit further.

It's weird because it has huge glass windows and the bar is just like 6 feet from the door so you're kinda standing in full view of anyone walking buy. Had quite a fun time the few times I've been there though.
