south africa...anyone ever been?
i read somewhere it's the 2nd fastest growing city after Mexico city?? that doesn't sound right..??

is it all beaches and tourists?
i heard there's a large indian population there...

what is there to do? besides the beaches..how does it compare to cape town?

yes there is a large indian population

it's mostly a surf city, it's quite humid and warm, and the water is warm too. beaches are big but it's a city. there's loads of sugar cane and banana farms around there. it's a bit tropical.

cape town is more cosmoploitan, the water is to cold to swim and it's full of hippies and models. a different kind of hippie to durban.

durban has clubs and aquariums and there's ushaka marine world and there are actually game reserves nearby, the beaches are great esp. for surfing. it's quite a design orientated city too. i like the bands out of durbs.
