| | Going to Vegas - need some advice about flights and music! OK so i'm going to the States in June for my cousin's wedding in New Jersey. I have some good mates who are moving to Vegas this month so i thought i would hop over to the west coast to see them for a few days.
So, my questions are...
- What websites are good for buying cheap(ish) internal flights in the US? So far i've looked on US Airways, United, Continental...in the UK i would check out Expedia, Opodo, Travelocity but don't know what equivalents the US has! Pls can someone help?
- Also i was hoping to catch some live music whilst i'm out there so can any Yanks recommend some websites i should check out to see what bands will be playing in Vegas in June? Any venues i should esp check out??
Cheers guys |

| | | well, first of all, i'm really sorry you have to endure new jersey. please don't judge all Americans by the specimens you'll find there..
travelocity and expedia have good US fares, as well as cheaptickets.com
and in vegas, all the music venues are at the casinos, so you'll have to check their sites. like the Hard Rock, Wynn, Mandalay Bay, Rio, Caesar's Palace, Paris, MGM Grand, House Of Blues, etc.
i haven't been to vegas in like 2 years, but everytime i've gone the music scene has been pretty cheesey... lou diamond, amy grant, celine dion -- crap like that. but not as bad as reno.. which is a straight up poor man's vegas, in every way. never go there.
but who knows, maybe someone good will be on tour when you go. |

| | | Check out lasvegas.com. You can do an entertainment search and find everything that will be going on in the big hotels the dates you're there, whether it's live music or comedy or the regular in-house shows. |

| | | It's VERY hot there in June. i went last year and it was 110-115 degrees. I am actually going there in 2 weeks. If you like Elton John, I believe he may be playing.
You should also check out the rehab party on Sundays @ the Hard Rock Hotel. I have never been, but I hear it's insaaaane. Also, the NYNY hotel has a Coyote Ugly bar, like the one from thew movie.
