I know this may sound a wee bit desperate, but I'm trying anything and everything here!
Basically, my band, Rost, are playing a gig next week (Thursday 13th July) at a venue called the Attic Bar in Glasgow. Now what happened in there, I don't know, but whoever booked us to play there, apparently just upped and left, leaving the new management with no clues as to what was going on. So basically it transpired that we were the only band booked for that night, and the manager, clearly not sounding too gig-savvy asked if we could play a 3 hour set. Sure, yeah if we were the Stones or Bon Jovi or something, but sadly we're not that wrinkly yet
So what we suggested was that we organise some other bands to play with us, y'know, make us have to play less
So the deal is this: it's a free gig. There's no door charge, but as such, the bands get no money. We can't even stretch to covering petrol to help out travelling bands, although if you're that good, we can maybe consider it
It's a reasonable venue apparently from what I've heard, although to be honest, I've never been before. We'd give much love to any band that could help us out at short notice, hugs, kisses, mud wrestling, whatever!
So like, please, please, PLEASE help a band in need!
