I'm a vocalist. I can't compare who I sound like but I can sing a mean PJ Harvey or Patti Smith song. I've got deep vocals but I can also scream. I can scream like Courtney in "Phonebill Song".

They don't know what I sound like but they know the rock sound I'm going for.

They live far away from me but you know, I'm so desperate to be in a band that I'm willing to travel.

I was nervous talking to the guy. I've never been in a band before. But he says he wants me to come down to the rehearsal session and hear them play and then I'll play with them.

How should I go about everything?

Just be yourself and make sure you warm up first. *shrug* There's not really anything to follow, tip wise. Just try not to be overbearing or too shy. And don't force it.
