So. A small label is going to release my newest record in the next month or two. This was supposed to happen a few months ago, but has been delayed a while because of some logistical bullshit. But in the meantime, I've started to reconsider some things.

I've been going with the moniker "The Love Campaign" for about a year now, and I was gonna have this be a self-titled record, but it REALLY doesn't reflect the personality of the music AT ALL, and I don't want that anymore. So I'm kicking around some new ideas, and I'd appreciate some feedback or suggestions.

So now. Some names I've been kicking around.
Possible new "band" names: Child Phonography (<-------read this twice please, it's "phonography," not pornography).... that's all i got so far.
Possible album titles: Crystal Math, or Kingdom of Justification, or Fields of Narcotic Noise.
Most of these, except Child Phonography and Crystal Math, have been suggested by other people. And I don't really like them, but I'm not sure.

Feedback, suggestions, comments, etc? I'm aware most of you will hate the music, and that's fine by me; I just need some advice on what to call the shit.

just don't make your band name child pornography. while it's cool theoretically, it really limits it if you want people to find your music online....

that is a big thing to consider. i mean think of the band Yes. you can't google that shit!
and child pornography would be blocked on some computers and stuff, and people might click the wrong thing and end up getting arrested for it

I didn't realise Child Phonography would fuck people up like that. I guess it triggers that sight-reflex thing, where you see what you expect to see? This makes a stronger case for the name, I think.

I like Crystal Math too, as an album title. If paired with the above band name, would it be too "play-on-words...ish" or is it okay?

And seriously, I hate these kinds of questions. If I had my druthers, I'd call my music "Music", and my album "Record #3". Same goes for naming songs, I'm shitty at these things.

I'd say Crystal Math is the best band name, although a little too close to Crystal Castles or something in terms of words and shit.

i quite like the love campaign actually... dont fall into the trap of being all ~controversial~ with yr name, i think the music should stand for itself, but thats just my opinion.

I hate too much chorus on acoustic guitar. And I REALLY hate too much reverb on vocals.

Everyone on KR sounds the damn same.

In regards to names though, who cares- because all band names are pretty shite. Love Campaign is no worse to all the other shitty names KR people come up with. Hello, I use Phoebe Ashmore and that just sucks.

I've never EVER used even the slightest touch of chorus on any guitar I've ever recorded. I'm wondering what you're hearing that sounds like chorus? Not to mention I am confident, that if nothing else, my music is quite unique (at the very least, it's unique by KR standards). So I can't really lend you any kind of substantial credibility here, unless you care to elaborate?

Well then, the way your guitar sounds is vile... Maybe you double tracked it or something but it's warble-y and that is exactly what chorus sounds like.

It's about as unique as the colour blue. A guitar, some noise and reverb to fuck vocals. There really isn't anything unique in music anymore. Mine isn't, Robbies isn't, yours isn't. Except I don't sound like everyone else on KR, but you do.
