| | Guitar I've been wanting to learn to play guitar. Which means I need to buy a guitar. I was wondering what brands everyone reccommends. I'm lost as to what's best. I know I'm looking for an acoustic. I really like the acoustic sound better than electric. Other than that, I'm clueless. |

| | | They're a well known brand, they make great acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Most guitar shops should have them if you're curious to play one. |

| | | I like Yamahas... extremely good value given the build quality and materials they use. |

| | | My acoustic is a Takamine G series. Mine is an acoustic-electric but it sounds nice and bright without being plugged in, so that's just an added benefit. In fact, it sounds TOO nice and bright, but I shouldn't be complaining about that. I'm just not used to a nice guitar.
I'd say it's a good option for the price range it's in--I got mine for just under $300. |

| | | I've decided to check into the Takamine G. And you've got my interest piqued on an acoustic-electric. It would save money if I decided to go electric in the future. I wouldn't have to buy another guitar. Thanks to all of you for the advice. |
