can anyone give me some double reed advice? or something cos i got this indian wind instrumen ta shehnai thingy dealio and i cant play it cos i suck at blowing and it has a double reed
i just need a step in the right direction

yeah i can play sax and trumpet and trombone a bit
so i understand the basic mechanics of most wind instruments(more air =higher note or whateva

but a double reed is foriiiiegn to me
i guess im getting the hang of it i dunno
i just remember there being obeoees on here a while back
and this is described as an "indian oboe" and has double reed thingys
and obviously the double reed is complicated so i guess im wondering if anyone has embouchure tips or something

a general oboe embouchure isn't so hard. drop your jaw, roll your lips in over your teeth, and you want to pull your lips in tight around the reed kind of like a pucker (but still over your teeth). you know how a sax or clarinet embouchure is rather flat? you don't want to do that. also be careful - you don't want to bite into your lips.

really i need a fingering guide for the shehnai i think and embouchre will come with practice
