I'm after a small practise bass amp, i don't need anything more than 15 watts and will probably spend up to £100 on one. I'm pretty stuck, i don't fancy any marshals or fenders or ashdowns which is all i can seem to find.

Has anyone ever heard of liberty? They look swish, (cost around £49) but i cannot find any more info on them on the internet. That is usually a bad sign.



So obviously i'm a bit dubious about purchasing one.

Anyone got any more suggestions or other ones to check out?

I would wholeheartedly recommend the Marshall MB-25, although I think they've replaced it with a B-30 or something like that now. I have one, and I can honestly say it pisses on most bass practice amps I've used.

Alternatively, there is an Orange bass practice amp. I dunno if it's much good, but I like the Orange guitar practice amps.

That liberty looks nice on the outside, but aye, I get the impression it's probably just some shitty taiwanese crap underneath. It's a pity there isn't a bassy version of the Epiphone Valve Junior. Might be fun to make a homemade bastardised version of one though, cracking the soldering iron and circuit diagrams out!
