Does anyone here know of any good websites for getting drum hit samples for free? I'm sure there were some good ones mentioned on this very board before the shutdown, but alas, they are gone now.

Basically I used to have a load, and have some good sites bookmarked, but a virus decided to totally erase all of my "my documents" on my PC and my favourites, hence meaning all of my drum samples went, and the websites where I could get them from.

What I'm after is individual drum hits (snare, kick etc.), fairly sorta raw acoustic sound so that I can do the processing myself. It's to fit into rock-esque music, so I don't really want any mad techno kicks or D 'n' B snares or anything silly like that if at all possible.

Any links would be much appreciated, if you have any nice handy zip files yourself, PM me and I'll give you my email address!

Go to the Computer Music website, or just buy their magazine one month since they always have about 3GB of samples on them.

If you want to get some for yourself, just for your info try www.naturalstudio.co.uk (get the ns7_free kit)

And if anyone wants, I can send a smaller zip file with a few basic drums sent to me by my guitarist, just PM me or whatever.

I went to the Computer Music website after I gave this advice and found that they've removed most of their links to cool software and samples. Bastards. Sorry about that, I'm glad you got something.
