OK, dude/dudettes, I've recently been getting into recording and sampling on the computer, and I've seen this "Rewire" thing come up all over the place in magazines, the net, not to mention the programs themselves. I use Acid Pro 6.0, but from what I understand, it's not specific to Acid. Is it similar to reamping?

think of it as software for syncronysing multiple musical applications. say youve recorded something on acid, and programmed some bass on fruity loops, you can use acid as a rewire host, running fl studio at the same time. all the effects/vst/etc you are using in the host is relevant to the client. with time it makes for some interesting effects and results.
