I looked up the chords (a, cmaj7, g) and learned to play 'em all. But I can't understand tab (I tried strumming it with the chords, but it doesn't sound right)

Also I have no guitar expierence, but I don't know what to try to learn, so I figured try Doll Parts.

erm i use Am if that helps. i never really learnt it off tabs though, i play using these chords. music buffs don't slaughter me for not knowing this stuff properly.
