It's in American movies and stuff, but I honestly don't have a clue about it's international recognition. I wouldn't be able to tell you much about Aussie history and various flags, but we all recognize the swastika. I guess the confederate flag is somewhere inbetween

My dad has always hated horses, but he went and bought a horse so that he and Mum can go for romantic horse rides in the countryside. And they got matching sea kayaks. So sweet. They never seem to bicker any more, except about dumb things like "didn't you KNOW the hose was leaking?". And they bought some alpacas, and planted rival hazelnut groves that they tend to separately.

BORT horseback riding together? I love it.

It's something I think about a lot- I think especially since I'm an only child so I feel responsible and guilty for living so far away. But my parents just seem happier. I'm very much like my father and got my, um depression tendencies? from him. So around 10 years ago I saw him go through a lot of that, but now he's so relaxed and free and content. His temper has gone waaaay down. He's physically healthier and the same weight he was when he was 18 because he eats well and does hard work. I think aging is hard for him in that he can't do physical outdoor work as easily, but he hasn't stopped so far. My mom is finding new ways to push her art to the next level and is more relaxed about everything I think because my father is. And I'm thinking of moving closer to home but not out of guilt.
