Drugs can create a fake reality because it is sometimes used to get at truth, or deal with it.
I've taken drugs for all kinds of reasons and that makes me fake if I hold up a mirror.
But these days I think the main problem is the perfect drug is still under development...The drugs we have now may seem barbaric in the future. I look forward to getting high without all the guilt and pain that has damned drug users for a century. Something that nobody can ruin by abusing.
But I also agree there's got to be a better way.
The perfect drug for ghetto pharmacists is one you keep returning for, even if you don't have the money. And you'll be used and abused.

I dont think getting high makes you fake, but it sure can happen incidentally.

I just felt I needed to make another statement on drugs because of the Eric thread.
I think i'm just saying that all the 'drug problems' we have now are mostly incidental because of the money that flows. Getting high must be something worth while in some regard beyond all the nonsense.
Maybe in the future there will be a drug that can get us high without distroying us.
On the other hand, maybe the soultion is not doing drugs and getting high on life...I just wondered why I did drugs in the first place.
Yet, some things about it i don't regret.
