id like to know if any of you guys feel the same way about the mythological phoenix.it has been my favorite for some time now.what other mythological creatures do you find relatable?for those who dont know the myth this is how it goes the phoenix consumed itself in its own fire then emerged from the ashes of it.its all about death and destruction and 2nd chances and new beginnings and recreation and redemption.does anyone have a tatoo or anything of the phoenix?how about other mythological things?what all references have you picked up in popular culture of the phoenix.the ones that come first to mind are garbage right between the eyes,duran duran a view to a kill,ani difranco 32 flavors,and i know there are others its just that they areavoiding my mind at the present.also the cover of the braverys cd.i think alot of courtneys music evokes the spirit of the phoenix.

I like the mermaid, the Valkyries, Medusa(and the Gorgons, omg! What a band name! COPYRIGHT!)

I love the Phoenix. It's so inspiring. It's about rebirth. I feel like a Phoenix right now because I'm having or had a spiritual transformation and I'm going to manifest it physically, I'm going to work out and I'll exteriorize this new found beauty inside.


I remember the X-Men, that was a beautiful interpretation of the phoenix.




I love the Mermaid. It has always been my favorite mythological creature. Whenever we were in a pool, my brother and I would pretend we were mermaids. We were so gay!!!!!!

I really wish I could see a mermaid. I wish they existed. I wish I was one.


I also love Medusa. My favorite myth ever is the Perseus myth, specially when he has to fight Medusa. My father gave me a book on greek myths when I was a child and everyday I would religiously read Medusa's myth.

Me & my sister always used to play made up mermaid games in out pool when we were stupid and young and didn't imagine how pathetic we were!!!
