i usually have pretty nice dreams. but the one i had last night was just a really bad nightmare -- i woke up terrified in the early morning hours and was unable to go back to sleep.

basically, i dreamt that there was an unknown stalker out to kill me, and although he didn't yet by the time i woke up, he killed everyone around me and was spying on me. my phone wires were tapped, i could not leave the house after 5 pm, i had to have the curtains closed, and there was a suspicion that one of the people i was living with was the one who was terrorizing me.

but i usually don't have nightmares. so this is pretty strange.

I had a few weird ones last night.

One involved playing backing instruments for Marc Bolan and asking my friend to swap with me because I didn't want to play the violin...

another was a horror-film style one that I can't remember well enough to describe, but it involved tree-people

and the last was the (dreamt) plot of the film "Heat", which I haven't seen. I doubt what I dreamt was the actual plot of the film, but probably the effect of watching too many gangster films.

this one is my favourite so far. i've been having a few white mice dreams, but i think it's the dead mouse hairclip thing playing on my mind.

i also like the marc bolan dream above. i once had a dream where i was adam ants dancer (in a tacky 1970s style dance troupe) at a comeback gig, but i didn't know the moves. i was wondering what had happened to all his old costumes.

can't remember what i dreamt last night, but i remember little insects were biting my legs because i was scratching them in real life as well as dream life.

I also once had a dream that I was suddenly David Bowie's keyboard player. I guess my sightreading was better in my dream than it is IRL

i love how you "suddenly become" something in dreams. i love dreams where suddenly i'm a fantastic guitarist or singer, & i mean people are in AWE that i'm so good. it's like I'VE FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING I'M AMAZING AT!!!! there's this big rush where i feel like i'm fabulous... then i wake up & realise i suck. that huuuuurts.

don't remember what i dreamt last night.

i had a dream the other night of watching a tv screen that had someone about to be/beng sexually assaulted - it was a news program. i was then in an odd sort of flat complex where i was helpng a drunk/passed out girl to her flat, i saw a figure approach from a distance and i realised i was the one who was going to be assaulted felt relief as i thought for some reason the fgure was female, it turned out when they appraoched the light i could tell they were male. he said the girl belonged to him, he took her and tried to kiss me. i backed off tried to push off but he tried again, i then saw random people, some helped me, others who i recognised did not, by the end someone had called for help and i had a go at the person who didnt help me she just laughed, even when i grasped her by the neck angrily. that was about it.

Last night's dream reminded me of Osaka's dream in Azumanga Daioh when she is flying. I dreamt I was flying on light blue coloured clouds which were floating way above the Earth's atmosphere. The clouds then began to dissolve so I fell down straight to Earth and landed on a stable. The guy who presumably worked there or owned it began to chase me with a pitch fork so I ran away and woke up.

last night i was really jealous of this girl who could do the splits. i kept trying to do the splits, but my legs kept twisting abnormally & i couldn't do it. ha, i've always wanted to be able to A)do the splits & B) do a high kick.

i dreamnt a potential bandmate bailed out on me, and a good friend called me and started bitching about.. all of my bitching?

it was a case of "when it rains it pours".

i haven't been able to recollect my dreams in a few months. but this one i had just the other night, and i remember this last bit.

i was in some large building, or like a big ship. and in the center of this was an enormous hollow space, for elevators. except to acess the elevators one had to step out of the floor they were on, onto a platform in this large space, and the elevator (which was just like one in a warehouse, but with no cage around it) would go up or down. i followed a girl onto a platform, and she got onto the elevator. i wanted to follow her, but the elevator moved up. somehow i appeared up on the next level. then it went back down again, and i was on the next one down. the girl kind of laughed at me. and then it started descending so fast i couldn't keep up. so i jumped off the platform like it was nothing. and it didn't worry me, and i was keeping up with the elevator. then all of a sudden she stopped on the last platform down. but i didn't. i realized i didn't have anything stopping me....

and the weirdest part was i sped up falling, and under the last floor, it was like there were four stories of just empty space, and then i hit the very bottom, and i woke up, just as my feet hit. and i could feel that my legs would have gone up to my body.

it was just weird. i can't come up with an interpretation though.

I dreamt that my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend had this huge party in some beach house, where they had sex and I happened to befriend some other girl that I dislike very much.

Then when I woke up, I could have sworn that my boyfriend was the exhange student that I'm in love with yet forbidden to see.

It was all quite distracting.

I was up late watching Youtube clips and interviews so my past found a way of creeping into my dreams. I had a dream my friend whom I haven't seen for years (since 2006) walked past me and my sister and was completely head-over-heels that he'd seen us and couldn't stop being totally in awe of our presence.
It was comforting. Unfortunality it was just a dream.

I usually have reoccurring nightmares so makes for a change.

i had a really weird dream. i was in church, and found the whole thing mind-numbingly boring (my concious mind, is in agreement on this), and left. and then preceeded to walk down some path in some place that looked really familiar but im not sure where it was exactly. then twice in a row there would be someone from my past who im not on good terms with, that would come up behind, knock me down and sit on me. i would start laughing and say "Get off of me" and then they'd start laughing and they wouldn't. so then id start screaming. eventually they'd take a hint but then someone else would take their place.



im interpreting this right now..

i think the church theme came into play because i just finished reading "Let's Make A Buck: My Fabricated Life With Courtney Love" by Linda Caroll, last night. it focused a lot on Linda's struggles with her "faith" and being brought up in the christian religion, so yeah. I guess that's where that came from.

LOL I actually had a dream that I "scissored" with my best friend. I'm not gay but the dream was like detailed and stuff it was funny.

I had a horrible dream also last night, my mom sent me to some juvenile detention center for fucked up girls and I was scared and didn't belong and kept crying ahh it was sad!

i had one dream a week ago where i was having sex with my boyfriend and i was saying "i'm coming!!!" and i woke up as i was saying it.....

i wonder if i said it out loud????

obviously i never should've visited this thread if i'm gonna say this, but i really hate when people talk at length about a dream they had. because the person who had the dream never realizes how boring it is so they will include all these details that they think are really unique and special and it goes on forever and you can never be like "um you know this is of no interest to me whatsoever?" but i'm not talking about you guys because i didn't read any of them.

i've had that where you wake yourself up because you've said something in your sleep. whenever i think i've shouted something it's only ever come out as almost a whisper in reality...or so i'm told.

i dreamt last night that there were all these insects on the carpet & they grew bigger & bigger & looked like crabs without shells. i stepped on one & all the scum inside it was burning my legs where it landed. i didn't know if i should call an ambulance or pest control first. it was 5 o' clock in the dream & so pest control wold've been closed.

i don't remember the specifics but it involved a ship, an old victorian house and estelle getty, and i kept being twarted from voting in the election.

I dreamt about someone I work with and it was very intense and sexual. And I didn't even find this person attractive before hand, but now I can't stop thinking about them. I met with him in a park today but he was high on g and his fly was undone so maybe he's better in dreamland.

And I would fucking kill to have a dream of estelle getty. A wet sloppy nightmare.
