Nam Myoho Renge Kyo Anyone?

Ever met a Moonie?
Been encountered by a Krishna or an Osho?
What about any of the plethora of Christian cults foursihing in Amercia?
What about Nichirin Shoshu?
Anybody been involved in it?
I have since I was 15 or 16. There is really alot to say about this sect of Buddhism. I dont want to reveal all the personal details right yet unless other people have been involved in this group.
Its pretty shocking.
Anyone ever been in Nichirin Shoshu/acutally Sokai Gakaii???????
What do you think?

Ever met a Moonie?
i used to live next door to a family of them. they were alright, if not a little weird, at least they didn't try to push their religion onto anyone. i was actually pretty good friends with the one who was the same age as me (she went to my school and was in my form) until i moved away.

i think the only thing that really bothered me was that the family were going broke because of their obligation to give a percentage of their earnings to the church. they almost lost their house. and also i found out the church got to name the children, i didn't like that at all.

Been encountered by a Krishna or an Osho?
yes

What about any of the plethora of Christian cults foursihing in Amercia?
no. i am not in america, nor do i care about it

no

meeting a Moonie

Ive never met a Moonie but read alot of books about them and other cults. Most of the books I ordered through ebay and 60's 70' scare pieces. Alot of Moonie books. Moonwebs, In the Shadow ofthe Moon, I Met A Moonie, so many.
Ive read a few books about Osho but some critical like The Ulitimate Game, Promise of Paradise, a few others too cant remember off the top of my head. Ive seen the ashram in India. Ive been by where he had a whole town of people in aNTELope Oregon.
I seen the Kirshnas ofeten in downtown Seattle in the Public Market, they will give you a free book if you want one but arent at the airports no more.
Ive seen and heard about alot of weird twisted bibley stuff in some of the American Christian religions, its like you can start your own church to your standards.
Mormons are really heavy on the West Coast, last week they had all there temples in California do an anti gay speech and anit marriage speech. If you want to see some weird propaganda they used to put out type in "Banned Mormon Cartoon" on youtube. com its shocking.
Jehovahs are a real weird one in the USA too. Dont believe in voting or getting blood and hand out antigay literature and love going door to door.
Nicirhin Shoshu/Sookai Gakai is culty. Dont have time to tell right now but differs immensly then the standard Buddhist sects.
Anyone been entrenched with the Nam Myoho Rnge Kyo chanters?
Anyone ever with the Sci's?

Antelope

Yeah I never got to the grounds, Got to Shaniko and couldnt acutally find the place. I heard its a Christain camp now.
Osho did alot of good for the Muddy Ranch. Very similar what the Synonon corperate cult did in West Marin COunty and Badger Ca. Rajneeshpuram was bigger and was so self sufficent.
I remember it broke up really quick cause of that gun toting Sheela lady and Osho was growing old (think he was poisoned by her just my guess)
When it broke up many a purple clad person ended up in our suburban town and elsewhere.
If it wasnt for Sheela they would have had it good, had a self suffienct community that was way ecofriendly.
Osho was the sex cult as it was known up here. I guess in the early seventies when they were still in Puna they wore orange where they are again and I think still wear purple.(Was it Puna, cant remeber, that might be where Sai Baba or Sri Orindo is)
every rack of the savation army from the Canadain border to the Oregon had all the puprple bought when Osho beloved Bagwan Shree Rajneesh came to the vicinty when with his parade of Mercedes I think that were mostly bought out of a teaxas dealership.
Ramtha was real big at the time too. She is such a fake. Have you ever youtubed ramtha? Here Merv Griffin eposode is a joke.

Are the Mormons really all that relevant? Don't they believe in wearing Magic Underwear or something?

And that banned Mormon cartoon, is just awful.

at 12- 13 years old,, me and my friend were approched by gilrs my age, at the beach, wanting us to come to their chanting sessions. this was Nicherin Shoshu. me and my friend went and chanted. they wanted me to go to the mountains to get my kohunsan(sp?). my mom said no way would she allow me to go. i think they had motives that i still don't know of.

the Krishna people just wanted to feed me. the few times i was around them, they were only interested in feeding me. i don't think they have alteriror (sp?) motives. my friend joined them, and they made him make all their beds, and do a lot of chores, to the point he felt used, and quit.

a very weird so-called christian cult almost kidnapped me, my friend had to yell at them "she's only 16, you had better let her go." i got on their bus for the donuts they offered me, very scary, they wanted to take me to texas!

You told me that you were going to sue my username with Scientology's "Deep Pocket" attorneys.

Skyy

That was four years ago. I still believe in freddom of religion though but do think the Scis are as whacky as the Mormons if not parrelell almost but think people can believe what they want.
Scis do have deep pocket attorneys. When that vid came out on youtube of Tom and his Sci recuriment vid it was down within 24 hours (but think its back up) Im really suprised since we had this conversation during AS era that Courtney didnt use them at the time to take down her "demos" from youtube. Sci attorneys are stereotypical for attorneys, they can be heavy handed decieve intimidate anything practically to win a case. I used to work for a house cleaning service in Seattle when I was 19 and went into two attorneys and one dentist who were sci. I was shcked at the Xenu type picture and story books the kids had at the denist guys house, they were all really nice houses too in the most exclusive parts of Seattle. That was 18 years ago though!

I can handle attorney jokes, but please do not stereotype all attorneys as heavy-handed to win a case.

You did threaten to sue me via the Sci's.

I work with a practicing Sci. She is an amazing person.

Have you left their alliance?

bad thetan!

I am still curious; on what cause of action would you have sued?

Scis and attorneys

Im on both sides of the fence about Scis. Acutally I like the ones that I have met very much. They need to open up gaywise though and have an open gay in thier org but they say they dont aligned so yes, my stance on scis have changed slitely over the years only cause they dont endorse the gays.
I have no idea a few years back what I was going to get the Scis after you for, as I recall it was a running joke. Wasnt that what most of it was begning to be whatever thread we ended up in?
Yes we shouldnt peg attorneys like we do realtors or drug addicts and used car sales men.
It is true that the best attorneys wiggle there way in, look at the high profile attorneys and see how they decieve TruTv nee Court TV getting high profile cases lesser sentences ala Nicole Richie backwords on a freeway and others.
I never thought you took that seriously whatever it was and Im wondering too. If you recall do bring it up
