No, and I'm not sure why you think we would have hired a contractor just because I said the guy wasn't a total cunt.

Ever heard the expression "You've got to be cruel to be kind"? It works both ways.

I doubt if any of what you describe happened the way you describe it, if at all. It wouldn't surprise me if you were the kind of fantasy-prone individual who always needs to be able to tell a story, because they are insecure about being thought of as boring.

You seem like the type. You talk a lot, and your opinion of yourself and your relationship others seems somewhat at odds with, say, your Coffee Emporium buddies'. You really should think about that, actually. What it must take for someone to actually look out the forum you post on just to tell the world you're a cunt.

Most people, even mean people whose spirits are in unrest and who resist love and all the rest of it, will just deal. You must have quite a gift for irritating people.

Do they? The ones whose reps you insist on posting seem to regard you more as a piece of feces than a human being. Myself I pity you, but I acknowledge that you probably are human.

I think you're seriously delusional about your own allure. Unless you are totally different in real life than you are on here, YOU PROBABLY SPEND MOST OF YOUR LIFE BEING HUMOURED BY PEOPLE, AND YOU PROBABLY DON'T REALIZE IT. And if you are totally different in real life than you are on here, why should we suffer?
Truer words were never written about Sophie_ !!!! A perfect recent example of being humoured by people and totally misinterpreting it was in the old thread of 'I Declare Holy War on Sophia_" that Sophie just posted in this morning. He claims that my friend Iron Mike was jealous of Sophia because Sophie was given 'a better cake than Iron Mike' was. I was there for all the birthdays and Going Away Parties at the Coffee Emporium and heard most of the comments from Sophie and Iron Mike concerning their own cakes. Everyone that knows Iron Mike, the crusty, sarcastic, witty, and totally humourous Irish gent, knew that Iron Mike was trying to get a rise out of us all about his cheaper Safeway bought chocolate Going Away Party cake disappointing him and insulting him because it wasn't as fancy and delicious as the expensive boutique bakery baked carrot cake that a customer bought for Sophie's birthday at the coffee emporium.

Iron Mike was actually really funny in his mock carrying on about his cheaper cake. He well realized that such a controversial insufferable pain in the ass, such as Sophie was in the Coffee Emporium, could not possibly have deserved a better cake than he. He joked about it all the time to make me and the assistant manager, the hosts of the parties, feel guilty about his cheap choice Going Away Party cake. He loved to compare his cheap mass produced chocolate cake to Sophie_s deluxe Upper Middle Class/Yuppie Birthday cake. Iron Mike was joshing us, not giving a damn what Sophie thought of his schtik. He considers Big Head Radio Todd not worth his time since he sees him as a mean spirited individual. He could care less what Soph_ would ever think about his reference to Sophie's cake being better and more delicious.

Iron Mike was totally all about the fun of playing at complaining about his cheap cake, and not 'sick with envy' as Sophie claimed. I know this for a 100 % true fact and so does everyone else at the Coffee Emporium. Iron Mike would never be envious of one thing about sophia_. And that is something I would swear to on my Mother's grave, (except I save that for something really important and not to waste on Sophie_s fragile ego condition) It is something that sophie does not ever want to consider, because he prefers to project that Iron Mike was sick with envy of him, evidenced by the childish cake comparison.

We had fun with Iron Mike pretending to be jealous of Sophie_s cake because Iron Mike made fun of us 'feeling guilty' for having a better cake for someone, whom he well knew, we all thought didn't really deserve to have any celebration at the Coffee Emporium---much less a better birthday cake, for god's sake.

The crucial difference between the origin of the two cakes: 6 regulars chipped in to buy Iron Mike's bigger cheap cake, complete with money for a toy furry little rat on top, as compared to one customer friend buying the fancy carrot cake for sophie_ and having a quickly organized birthday party. No 6 regulars from our group chipped in for Sophie's cake. It was the sole idea of one philosopher friend of sophie's. But we did give Soph a nice party with the 'better cake'.

(Another story of a very failed attempt at humour Soph made towards Iron Mike's birthday cake's symbolic rat ornament showed Iron Mike sophie_'s mean spiritedness. But Soph_ meant it to be humourous to Iron Mike, as an ethnically prejudiced comment to Irish Iron Mike for the 'benefit' of his party goers. It seems that Soph forgot that 'funny' disparaging remarks directed at someone's ethnicity often fall very flat---especially if it is about the Irish and rats. (Iron Mike had invented a new trap to trap the rats that had moved in to his trailer home. That was the reason for the rat on his chocolate cake.)

Conversely, It seems that people who are 'humoured' in a mean spirited way by Sophie often don't recognise it as humour. Non Malignant Narcissists do not have the keenest senses of humour !!! However, Soph_'s Irish Rat Slam was in keeping with his petty cuntness behaviour at the Coffe Emporium. At least he is consistent.)

How childish of Soph to think that Iron Mike was not being humourous with the whole play about the difference in cakes, but rather, that it was mere sick envy Iron Mike had for soph.

Sophie_ was being humoured by Iron Mike, as were we all, and didn't ever realise it---to this very day. And Ophiel nails it totally !!!! Sophie gives us the perfect example today in his posting in the old thread of Ophie's Jihad declared on Soph. Sick Envy ?? Too bad he missed the sarcastic humour of Iron Mike's.

Sophie_ is very seriously delusional about his allure. I have seen this too many times in person, ad nauseum. Soph_ is the same in real life as he is on KR. That fact is one of the reasons I started posting on KR to show some IRL examples that synched with his behaviour on KR. He was one of the reigning Red Dot people at the Coffee Emporium. The Last of the Unbanned.

We never Banned him from the Coffee Emporium though, because it was too entertaining to see his many Butthurt Faces and wonder at his many thoughtless shenanigans over the years. Is that cruel ?

So basically the flaw you're illustrating is that you cannot admit to having a flaw, without in the process telling us how incredibly modest you are and how deeply flawed anyone who opposes you is by comparison to your good self.

What I really want for my birthday

What I really want for my 52nd Birthday! To say thank you ...
for my life, the most precious gift I will ever receive. I am grateful for each person I encounter, each animal, each flower, each sunset, for everything that makes up this beautiful planet and my extraordinarily magnificent human experience.

Today I do not feel any different than I have for most of my life. And yet I am forever changing, for each day I learn more about who I really am and what I truly value. Today I am 52. I am most grateful to be alive at this moment in time. I am grateful to be fully immersed and savoring each moment of my great human adventure.

Whether we have met in person or not I thank you for being part of my world. Thank you for allowing me to share myself through these writings and for our time together. You are a part of what I value.

Have a wonderful day today and each day!

ohhhh myyy dayyyys i swear i almost cried when i read this... read it

WHAT COME AROUND, GOES AROUND!

Let's see if you send it back. We all know or knew someone like this!!

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.

His name was Kyle.

It looked like he was
carrying all of his books.

I thought to myself, 'Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?

He must really be a nerd.'

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends
tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.

They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.

He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, 'Those guys are jerks.

They really should get lives.

' He looked at me and said, 'Hey thanks!'

There was a big smile on his face.

It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.

As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before.

He said he had gone to private school before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kid before.

We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books.

He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.

I asked
him if he wanted to play a little football
with my friends

He said yes.

We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.

I stopped him and said, 'Boy,
you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!

' He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends...

When we were seniors we began to think about college.

Kyle decided on Georgetown and I was going to Duke.

I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never
be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.

I teased him all the time about being a nerd.

He had to prepare a speech for graduation.

I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

Graduation day, I saw Kyle.

He looked great.

He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school.

He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.

He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.

Boy, sometimes I was jealous!
Today was one of those days.

I could see that he was nervous about his speech.

So, I smacked him on the back and said, 'Hey, big guy, you'll be great!'

He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.

' Thanks,' he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began

'Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.

Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...

I am here to tell all of you that being a
friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.

I am going to tell you a story.'

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the
story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.

He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.

He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

'Thankfully, I was saved.

My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.'

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.

I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and
smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions.

With one small gesture you can change a person's life.

For better or for worse.

God puts us all in each others lives t o impact one another in some way.

Look for Good in others.

You now have two choices, you can:

1) Pass this on to your friends or

2) Delete it and act like it
didn't touch your heart.

As you can see, I took choice number 1.
'Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.'

There is no beginning or
end.. Yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is a mystery.

Today is a gift.

It's National Friendship Week. Show your friends how much you care. Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND.

If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends.

Plus, I was that bullied kid with all the books being pushed around and I always dreamed of some jock prince to rescue me and love me forever.

Yeah, that is definitely one of the ways in which you suck.

Maybe you should do something about it, like I did.

I bet you're dumb enough to think I wasn't a nerd in school, right?

well there are two types of nerds. The ones who are nerds because they are really in fact incredibly cool but misunderstood and the ones who are just lame.

I was part of the latter unfortunately.

What did you do?

I guess the good kind. Which sucks, because I can't rip on you so succinctly for being too pathetic to improve your life, and will have to content myself with ripping on your for being a nerd.
