Well, if he somehow proved he was God, and said that rape and murder were fine; I would consider another supernatural being. Although if he was definately the only one? That's a quandry.

Yeah, I don't really know how he'd prove it, to be honest. It'd be quite hard to believe that, say, Jesus Christ had risen to preach a new gospel at the dawn of the 21st century if he was found staggering drunkenly around a Lidl cursing like a docker.

I believe in some sort of higher power, not one in a religious context, and I'm not sure if I believe in a hell either...maybe for some people, but only certain lengths of time, but not eternity.

If God were proven, it depends what God was proven to exist. Or if there were any religions on earth that represented that God. And if that God believed that things like murder and rape were right, then I wouldn't be following that God.

If God were disproven, I'd jus think 'oh well' and be on my merry way. Really, for me, I think that existence of an afterlife is more important to me then a God.

I don't really think about an afterlife - for me the lasting effect of a person on the earth is what keeps my theological mind busy. I'm quite prone to nihilism...
