I gave love; you gave me a thistle;
We shared tenderness; then you ran away;
I planted a rose; and you blossomed;
I had fresh hopes; tho' winter froze them solid |

| | | I don't think I would do anything differently if it was proven God existed, because at the moment I believe in God and try to do what I think He/She/Whatever would want, a lot of which doesn't go with Church teaching or anything.
I'd like to think I would act the same if it was proven God didn't exist and there was no threat of punishment; although I don't really believe God punishes. I'm spurred on more by the possible embarrassment of God seeing me doing something wrong?
One thing I wonder is, what if God appears and says I'm totally wrong about what's Right and Wrong; would I change what I believe? Because most of what I believe are things I've thought through. I'm not sure I could change my beliefs at the drop of a hat on God's command, even if I wanted to? |
