Can anyone who knows anything about this or even just thinks they know anything about this tell me about it?

One of my best friends read the book every day doing the lessons, and his father turned him onto it, but his father is a creep and my friend got all creepy-converter-like when he told me about it; so I still feel like I don't know what it is, and I'd like to. I'd like to hear from anyone who knows about it but isn't quite a member, or whatever the word is.
