not true at all. the science of being well was written in 1910 by wallace wattles and i doubt even he was the first to come up with the ideas.
The Science of Being Well - Google Book Search

these ideas have been around for centuries before books were ever published. like i said, i believed and practiced these ideas before i ever knew what "self-help" was, much less read a book on the subject. i manifested this knowledge simply through observation of the power of my own mind and the effect it had. it is only within the last few years that i have come to recognize there is a huge industry on these beliefs. its interesting to see how various people define their beliefs for others to digest, but i wouldn't agree that the entire industry are copycats of think and grow rich.

i do believe in the subject matter and i think you can/do most definitely attract things into your life mentally whether intentional or not. as for a lot of these books, im not sure what to make of them, i feel like they present the material as being all mystical and new-agey when its really not. for example, the law of attraction book abraham-hicks i could not get through (it was an audiobook actually) because i just kept laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. the woman esther claims that this guy abraham actually channelled into her and all of this information she teaches/sells is not from her, but from abraham.

i guess i believe it's possible, but it just seems like a rather silly way to present the information and i would assume that her way of doing so has turned hundreds if not thousands of people away thinking she was smoking crack.

so i suppose i'm just curious if anyone else believes in and/or practices intention manifestation, law of attraction, etc. and what their experiences have been like.
i believe it.
it has changed my life. i am not kidding you.
it got me the man i always wanted, thousands of dollars, i'm 19 years old i'm able to buy a house!!
seriously... anything your heart desires can be yours if you know what to do.

forgot to say - esther hicks is amazing

if you are interested in the Secret, I recommend watching the documentary, rather than reading the book. I watched it every day for a month, (which of course you don't need to - you dont need to watch it at all, or read the book, just practice it properly) It has made all the difference in my life.

i must not think bad thoughts.
seth speaks is what inspired esther hicks to be able to channel abraham who teaches the law of attraction. i've never read it or seen it and only know of it through her explanation. is it good? i find channeling a bit ridiculous, i don't know why, it just makes me LOL at the absurdity...
