Just a thought...

...okay I don't want to have a go at people who feel the need to attend church, and I dont know that much about religion. But one question or thought crops up in my head. That a bunch of church goers (maybe Im talking about uk anglican and catholics) attend church, full of faith, regulary, and sing, pray and do their ritual. Then it sometimes seems (in fact I feel, imho, often) that they then go on there merry way. Happy that they have reached salvation.

Whereas, surely it would be better to do one god deed to the desperate, misfortunate, losers, wotever you wanna see them, but take the time instead of joining the already converted in wots basically a tame man's kareokee, go and do something for the lonely junkie on the street, don't bible bash him, just do something, even just acknowlege their predicament. Surely if religion is meant to help people, help the needy, a few kind words, anything, but isnt preaching to the people who already believe a waste of time? If God wants to hear you, then he surely would hear you helping the needy, than the alreadt converted.

Its simply a question, I just want opinions...coz I don't know, maybe god likes the whole church thing, its his gig after all...

Some christians do this. Not all. I am sure there must be a needle exchange somewhere run by concerned godly folk. Excellent!

I met a guy who was a big Christian, he did little things like not getting off the bus ahead of anyone. Either that or he had OCD. They're potentially pretty similar, maybe.
