we used to live next door to a very lovely caring and thoughtfull mormon family. the wife was so caring and thoughtfull, that when my new black boyfriend at the time came for a visit, she called to make sure i was ok (not being raped).
they had two young kids and later another baby. the kids absolutely adored my daughter and they experienced some sort of confusion/dilema over the fact that they weren't supposed to like mexicans. i'm sure there were puzzled conversations between the parents and of course if we were just a plain old mexican family they would have no problem forbiding their children from playing with mine, however, my kids had a perfectly white mother and grandma. what to do?
