Just wondering..! Is the Bible the best story book / Bestseller on earth. I am trying to figure out who wrote this book. Seeing there were very few people who could write before Jesus. Or during the time he was on earth. From what I understand John was the only one who wrote his own Gospel. The rest were written by Greek scribes.. That is why Mark, Matthew and Luke are very similar.

So I think most of these story's are passed down through word of mouth. Really how would we know they are fact. Then again my family had weird story's about family members, as I grew older and did some family history. I found a lot of them to be true.

Well in then end it is most likely the world best seller.

You're just figuring this out now? The gospels weren't written until long after too. Are you trying to be controversial? They could write. They spoke Aramaic. Allegedly there are some Gospel's left out, such as Mary's ( not his mother) and Judas's.

And I forgot that the Lilith mention is kept out as well because allegedly (as the story goes) she wanted to be on top when having sex with Adam so she was booted for Eve.

As for who actually wrote it whp really can ever know?
Ever play telephone? Where one person says something and by the time it gets to the last person it is something different. Basically any time so much time has passed and someone else is relating a story of a story of a story there are bound to be embellishments.

So would the book be a real History book if they put all the stories about women in. It seems the gospal of Thomas is missing too.

It also seems like many people live there lives by the Bible, As a guide to living.. Maybe it is more than a bestseller.

Some people really believe the Bible is the truth.. The only trouble is they use the writings they like.
