I found an article that briefly explains why the world dominated by extroverts may misunderstand introverts. Tell us what you are.

I'm and introvert wrapped in the misperception ofbeing an extrovert. Many people are not able to be themselves in a group who thinks introversion is geekish or nerdish.

I like that article.

Why would people perceive you as an extrovert if you weren't one? Extroversion and introversion relate to the way one presents oneself to the outside world, consciously or otherwise.

How could someone see a person who does not express their emotions and ideas vocally or visibly in public, and perceive them to be someone who does?

I can pretend to be extroverted if required. Like at work and stuff. It's called "The Mask" when in reality I am dying inside whilst making ridiculous small talk and having to spend more than one hour near my workmates.
