If you are really convinced there is nothing, any proof offered to you will just be rationalised anyway. Spirituality is only inconceivable to people because there isn't a scientific understanding yet
It's so arrogant to completely dismiss its possibility, unless you've experienced oblivion.

The same can be said about the inverse. Clinging to ideals for spiritual safety is a turn off to me.
I have nothing against spirituality, in fact, I love it (the theorizing and such gets me into trouble if I don't keep a lid on it sometimes). I just don't approve of spending my life trying to figure out some scheme to the universe rather than helping myself.
