As I walked up the driveway to my truck she followed (I thought she wanted another hug), when she asked me, "Did you find God?".
I didn't know what to say, so I said, "Not really". Then under my breath as I climbed in my truck I said to myself, "No, God found me". Since that time I understand more about why I was experiencing so much synchronicity at that time.
She refered me to an psychiatrist neighbor and I worked for him for a couple weeks. We usually talked about painting and woodworking projects. We got along quite well. My mental health was never a topic. He specializes in transpersonal psychology; I would have loved to learn more from him about what I had experienced the month earlier. Maybe he was hoping I would ask him about synchronicity.
My aunt is a psychiatric social worker. She was impressed with one of my poems, "Clouds of Heaven". We never discussed what it meant.
Meaning is soo subjective in these matters; some people see no meaning, while others can't contain their enthusiasm about life and transpersonal experiences.

- Everyone humours him.
- He selectively edits/ignores/forgets bits.
- He makes it all up.
But still, it makes you think; I've met people with qualifications/an interest in psychology and psychiatry, and usually, without even knowing it, they'll be trying to analyse you, sizing you up. It's in their nature and they love it, that's why they become psychiatrists.
Basically I'm saying that they consider you beyond help. |
