| | | Government has to step in and regulate all religion... Just look what the Catholic Church priest done to little boys..
Look at Wacko texas church...
and so many more...
A church that is not regulated can do so much harm than good.
The government can regulate by making background checks on church leaders and posting that information to the public so they can be informed instead of being in the dark |

| | | Why give it to the government to sort out? Like they don't suck at enough things already?!
But yeah, governments have regulated religion in the past. It doesn't work out so good. |

It's kinda like letting people choose which handpuppet runs the country. |

Because if so, then you've just confirmed exactly what I was saying - that sensible governments allow religious freedom. If not, I'd like to know exactly which book I should read that will tell me that a government has never used its laws to restrict religious freedom, because I would quite like to read it.
But yeah, missed you loads, doll. |

| | | I don't know what the deal is with other countires but the Catholic church losts its "special position" within the state decades ago. People are no longer naive or as afraid of any such accusations and priests don't have anywhere to hide and tried like everyone else. People don't treat them like gods like they did 50 years ago.. |

| | | Yeah, I think if there's any problems now, it's as much that people don't come forward or don't have the evidence to back it up, and that's true of all sexual abuse cases, religious or otherwise. | |
